David,
Things are feeling great. I feel stable and strong and the inflammation
is almost gone - I never even needed to get the cortisone shot.
It seems crazy to me to look back and even think that things had gotten
to the point of moving somewhere for 8 weeks - but it really was the
best thing I could have done. After nearly 18 months of pain and
discomfort and having already seen countless doctors and physical
therapists, I was really starting to lose hope. Your simple and straight
forward approach lent me the confidence that you knew exactly what
you were doing. I've been following the program you laid out and based
on how well things are feeling now, I feel totally confident that I'll
be able to resume all activities by this summer. More importantly,
I've been able to get back to work and resume day to day normal
activities - 100% pain free. Thanks again for everything.

I had a very positive experience at Body Mechanics Physical Therapy. I've had physical therapy
twice before and was disappointed in the treatment or lack there of both times. Jeff Ryg, my
physical therapist truly showed me what a physical therapist can do for a patient. He took the
time to show me what my problem was and to give me the therapy and effective exercises to
treat it.
~ Martha, Atlanta
Jeff,
I am extremely happy and satisfied with my experience at Body Mechanics Physical Therapy. I have
been to two other physical therapy offices and have not gotten the treatment I have received here.
Jeff Ryg has been awesome! He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and wonderful to work with.
The 1 and 1/2 hour drive and more expensive out of network insurance costs were well worth it.

I am a competitive long distance runner in the Master's category. I also coach high school
cross country. I ran the Las Vegas Marathon in December in a PR of 3:02. However, I felt
fatigued after the event and had to take time off before resuming training. I met Jeff Ryg
at the ING Half-Marathon Expo. Within minutes, he gave me a preliminary diagnosis, which
proved to be correct. Jeff put me on a custom stretching and strength program, which
directly addressed the problem. The program improved my ability to run well. Within
four weeks, I successfully completed my second Boston Marathon - injury free.
Thank you Jeff."

Dear David,
Ever since my first appointment with you I have wanted to write you and thank you
for such an outpouring of expertise, kindness, and generosity you and your team
bestowed on my family and me. You have a knack for being professional without
losing the personable touch that helps your patients feel at ease.
~ Sonya, Kentucky
Vicki,
As I entered my early sixties the pain I felt in my lower back and right hip had become nearly
constant. An active lifetime, with several motorcycle accidents and many weekends spent water
skiing or running in 10K races, was seemingly taking its toll on my body.
After just a few visits with you I noticed a remarkable reduction in my pain and an increase in my
mobility.
Now, after two years I am 98% pain free. The therapy I have received from my series of visits with
you have played a significant part in my healing for which I will be eternally grateful.
Your friend, former patient (and admirer),
~ Tommy P., Westminster, SC
Vicki,
I tell my friends, 'she changed my life.' It's great to do the things I like - golfing, gardening,
walking, and yoga - without having to take a break from them because of my back pain. You taught
me how to take care of my back by listening to it and by doing specific exercises. I am a very lucky
person to have been treated at your clinic.
~ Syliva
Elizabeth,
Thank you so much for changing my life. Your warm smile and encouragement helped me through
this difficult time.
~ Gloria
David and Polly,
I want to take the time to thank you for the time, care and concern you invested in trying to help me
get back to optimal health. Thanks, especially for not giving up on me. I appreciate all of your
kindness and wish you many blessings. I am feeling so much better and enjoy being back to work. I
feel so blessed that it all worked out with positive results.
Take care & God Bless,
~ Mary
Dear David, Michele and Samantha,
Thank you first for your flexibility in seeing me only one week after I called and then making room
for me each day I was here. Your cheerful, helpful attitudes are priceless to those who are suffering.
David, your expertise with SI problems is a godsend. You really make a difference in people's lives! I
want you to know how grateful and appreciative of what you have taught me, the improvement I am
feeling and the caring way in which you deliver it. I wish you all the best.
~ Denny C.
Dear Ms. Sims,
I am writing you today to tell you what an awesome team you have at your Peachtree location.
Some time ago I pulled a muscle in my back, and have had a chronic challenge with it ever since. I
ultimately changed doctors and my new doctor referred me to your clinic and David fixed me right
up. He actually gave me lessons on how to correct part of my trouble myself, which I can and have
done. On one occasion, David was out and had a replacement named Jamie who could not have been
more pleasant!
Saving the best for last, Samantha is such a wonderful, cheerful and caring person to deal with. I
was compelled to let you know how nice it is to hear her voice on the other line and see her kind face
when I come to your office. Too often people rarely hear when anyone on their team is going above
and beyond. I am not sure how you found her but in a world of mediocre customer service, we should
find some way to clone her. Thanks so much for such a positive experience from which is usually
expected to be a negative one.

Prior to having my fixation procedure, I was in constant pain with an inability to
perform not only exercise, but also part of my normal daily routine. I tried several non-surgical
alternatives, but nothing was effective.
After my procedure, I felt some relief immediately: practically instant stabilization. I have been
able to return to many of my previous activities, including running and hiking, with only
transient discomfort being from sitting too long in one position. We are very fortunate to have a
surgeon like Dr. Weiss, who is proficient and dedicated to finding a solution for the many people
who suffer from SI dysfunction.
This team of professionals gave me back so much I had missed. I am extremely grateful to Vicki,
her staff, and Dr. Weiss for enabling me to return to an active lifestyle which I thought had
been lost.

I am a 45 year old physical therapist who was injured on the job, herniating a cervical disc at C 5-6-7, but
also sustaining a back rotation injury that was untreated for a long period of time. My previous medical
history also included fusions at c567. As I recovered from neck surgery and became more mobile, my back, buttock
and leg symptoms worsened. Over a period of 18 months I regressed to the point that I could not do household tasks.
I could not sleep, and the pain became unbearable. I was almost completely bedridden for a time and wanted
to give up. After seeing two PTs, two rolfers, two massage therapists, an acupuncturist, two surgeons,
receiving Chinese medicine and undergoing numerous diagnostic tests, I had no significant answers to my
symptoms. Fortunately I found the website: www.sidysfunction.com and was relieved to read articles describing
the condition I had: Sacro-iliac Dysfunction. I immediately made plans to travel from Alaska to Gainesville, GA to be
treated by Vicki Sims, P.T.
I knew I had come to the right place as I saw changes in my status following a daily sacro-iliac correction
protocol. I really apprecaited how the staff work togehter, and how arrangements were made for
physician appointments, EMG testing, and steroid shots. After serveral weeks of treatment, Vicki determined
that I was hypermobile and had intra-articular damage, requiring SI stabilization with screws and fusion. I also
had piriformis syndrome causing severe leg pain. My body's postural adaption to my neck fusion was probably also
a factor. Dr. Weiss and his staff worked together with Vicki in providing correct surgical alignment before surgery. In the
few days after surgery I immediately felt less guarded and my leg pain started decreasing.
I traveled home 11 days following surgery (a 16 hour trip)... at 2 weeks post-op I made
brownies from scratch... 3 weeks started driving a car and getting a few groceries... 4 weeks started
cooking full meals and going to church... at week 5... I require Norco and Flexeril only at night and use
Tylenol once duing the day. The pain recovering from surgery is minimal compared to what I was
enduring prior. I am looking forward to a full life and returning to work.
Although I had 23 years of experience as a physical therapist, I had almost no SI experience. Sacro-iliac Dysfunction
is a very real condition that I, and other therapists have been unable to adequately treat. It greatly affected my nervous
system and my quality of life. I was looked at with skeptical eyes. Very few physicians understand
or have even heard of this condition. I am grateful for all the research that has been done by Vicki and others
in this field. I, too, want to be a therapist trained in the treatment of Sacro-iliac Dysfunction.

I suffered from an SI dysfunction for four years after being thrown off a horse. In the
last years before I had SI surgery, my pain had become constant and interfered with most of my
daily activities. I could not walk very far before the pain became unbearable. I could not
exercise or do any housework without increasing pain driving me to rest. I am eight years after SI
surgery and I have been pain free since six weeks after surgery. What a blessing. I have a normal life!

Not a day goes by that I am not thankful that I had the SI surgery. I feel so fortunate to be able to get out of
bed, do my excerises, get dressed and go to work. These things that average people take for granted, I cherish.
Thank you for making this possible for me. I look back to a year ago and I am amazed with how far I have come.
I swim daily, do my exercises daily, go to work, cook dinner and play with my new puppy. I feel I got a gift
to really see what is important in life and live everyday to the fullest. Thank you! I am so grateful for you,
Vicki, and Dr. Lippitt.
